We have a lot of AAC resources already saved on the staff data drive. These resources are great to be able to access and print rather than recreating something that we already have on file. On the staff data drive we have social stories, schedules, lanyards and Aided Language Displays (ALD Boards) just to name a few. If you are unsure on where these resources are saved, pop in to the duplicating room on Monday or Friday between 8.15am- 8.40am and I will run through it with you. It will only take a few minutes.
The next PODD focus for new staff and staff who would like a refresher is on Providing Partner Assisted Scanning and Commenting and Expressing Opinions. These sessions are on a Tuesday and Thursday morning between 8.15am- 8.30am in the drumming room.
I will send out a reminder on the messenger group when these are about to start.

There will be brekkie in the staff room from 7am on Wednesday 8th March to celebrate International Women’s Day. We will also stream the DoE event on the screen so we can watch it while we have brekky together.

Soft drinks in the fridge (under the staffroom kitchen bench) are $1.00. It’s an honour system so please write the number of drinks you take on the staff list (in the stubby holder) and then pay the money. You can pay at the time too.
Thank you to Kirsty/Antoinette for updating the evacuation procedures which will be distributed soon. Everyone needs to check the book and if you are new to the school, take the time to know what you need to do. We will do a drill on Friday 10 March at 1.30pm.
Please make sure that you have read Jan’s emails if you want to purchase staff uniform. The deadlines are very strict as it takes time for them to arrive.
Ideally the below timeline should help to manage this:
Week 3 – Complete any initial testing required
Week 4 – Meet with parents to discuss IEPS
Week 5 – IEPS due (3/3/23)
