Education Assistant – Pool advertisement
We have advertised for a new Education Assistant pool for the 2024 school year. If you are already in our pool, or have a contract for next year you don’t need to do anything. If you are unsure please ask Antoinette. There will need to be another pool advertised for the 2025 school year late next year.
Some days we are really struggling to get relief. Thank you for being so flexible in classrooms as we move and change things about. If you do know anyone who is interested in doing relief work and have some experience please ask them to get in touch.
Based on our current projected student enrolments we are planning to have the same number of classrooms in 2024 as we do this year. We are anticipating though that we will not have a straight year 6 class, and will more likely have two 5/6 classes.
We are unable to confirm exact staffing number at this stage – however we are slowly offering fixed term positions to staff where we know there are definitely positions.
On Monday September 18 (Monday of week 10) we will be having a lockdown drill at 2:00pm. Please read you emergency procedures about what to do if a lock down is called. You can practise with students, and it is not to be a surprise in any way. Every year we are now required to practise both evacuations and lock down procedures.
We met with the admin team of the Primary School and will as a collective try to call wet weather early when there is poor weather.
There are still a couple of places left for this night if anyone would like to come. There will be a cost involved. I am just confirming how much this will be.
