The Western Australian Respectful Relationships Teaching Support Program (the Program) has recently attracted significant media attention. Some of the media is attached for your information should you receive any queries from staff or parents regarding your school’s participation in the program. We note regional media is also following the story in Geraldton and in the Mid-West. Please note these articles contain information about family and domestic violence that may be distressing. The recent media may also be causing distress to other members of your school community. Please refer to the below numbers for assistance and support.
We wanted to take this opportunity to recognise your leadership and commitment to implementing respectful relationships in your school to support your colleagues, students and broader school community. Education is critical to tackling gender and social norms that create the environment for violence against women to occur, and we thank you for working with us to positively impact attitudes and behaviours that support gender equality and non-violence.

Most of the staff and students will be attending camp. Natalie will be attending along with the year 6’s.
Was really good! I will try to put together a bit more of a detailed email to you all outlining what we did with some photos. It will definitely be something we continue to do… therefore next year it would be great to have a few staff head to SA or Vic.
WAESPAA Dinner – congratulations Natasha
For those that went to the dinner on Thursday night, it was a great night! Congratulations to Natasha on being recognised on her achievement.
We do know that next year the conference will be held at the Esplanade in Fremantle.
Accessing the school during the holidays
You can access the school any time, except for the day your area is being cleaned.
For security purposes:
- Only the areas being cleaned will be unlocked and unarmed each day.
- If you are accessing the school you need to unlock/unarm and lock/alarm the areas yourself.
- Do not contact the cleaning and gardening staff during the holidays as they are busy and have limited time to complete their work.
- Do not contact Camp Australia.
Bins will not be emptied during the holidays, please take all rubbish home with you. We have had a lot of issues with mice and rats!
See below for when your area is being cleaned.
