This Tuesday is the final newsletter for the year.
Traditionally, classes all provide a small insert to wish families a Merry Christmas/Happy Holidays.....
The insert does not need to be anything long-even just a photo of students holding a Happy Holidays sign or something similiar.
If you need some inspiration, please have a look back through the newsletter archive.
I have created a foldre in the drive for everyone: S:\AdminShared\E6084S01-Joondalup ESC\All Staff\Newsletters\Newsletters 2023\Wk 9 Xmas
We are entering week 9 – and it is Adventure Week! It has been a tough couple of weeks with COVID, gastro, and our students well and truly ready for holidays. It is time to start the end of year processes, including cleaning up and cleaning out. Please don’t save the “clean out” time until week 10, do it now, otherwise our skip bins will be overflowing!
Next week we will come around to classes to see if there is anything you need
Fingers crossed! We will have one table at the awards on Monday – hopefully we come back with some outstanding news… either way huge pat on the back for us all to be recognised as one of the finalists for our commitment to disability and inclusion. We do some amazing stuff at our school together with our students and families.
In Focus 2024 we outlined a strategic priority: Together we will examine ways of reducing red tape and administrative burden on teachers and school leaders.
Today Minister Buti announced the first instalment of red tape reduction initiatives in public schools designed to streamline reporting requirements and reduce workload pressure on teachers.
In addition, we will explore the use of Artificial Intelligence to investigate ways to reduce teacher workload and improve learning.

We have a whole school staff meeting on Tuesday afternoon to hand over students for next year. Everyone is welcome, and Education Assistants will be paid for your time.
Teachers – can you please print off multiple copies of the handover notes you have done – and share these with Education Assistants so they have copies when talking about students. You can also physically give copies to each other on Tuesday.
A HUGE congratulations to Heidi who has secured a massive $30k per year over 3 years (so $90k) in total to formalise an assessment tool she has been working on
