Please remember to sign your keys back in for 2023 and out again for 2024. You can do it all at the same time. The system is now electronic and can only be done on one of JPS's iPad's in the front office. You will need your keys with you as they're all numbered. Please ensure that you've done this before the end of this week. The only classrooms that can wait are the one's moving... Either myself or Kirsty H will be able to show you how to get this done.
The year 6 graduation will be held on Tuesday morning. The staff room will be unavailable at recess on this day as the graduates and parents will be in this space.
If you wish to attend the graduation, but have not organised anything yet - please work it out with your class team and those around you, and then just let admin know. If you are on duty you will need to organise someone to do your duty for you. Jan, Sean and I will all be attending graduation.
Additional Bin Collections & Clean Up
The General waste bin (red top) will be collected every day next week.
The Comingle bin (yellow top) will be collected on Monday 11/12/23 and Thursday 14/12/23.
Neil has asked that no rubbish be taken to the big bin today as it's very full.
Large rubbish bags will be put into classrooms on Monday to allow for rubbish from class parties. Staff will be responsible for taking these to the big bin.
Admin will be coming around next week to get feedback from you about broken furniture/items that need replacing etc.
Last day of school-Thursday 14 December
Please hang around for a sundowner in the staffroom after school. Staff association (namely Sue M, thank you!!) has organised this :)
We will be saying good byes and giving well wishes to those leaving us at the sundowner.
Kellie has been around to see all teachers in regards to therapy for 2024 and you have given her an indication as to whether you are requesting therapy meetings for your students.
We anticipate meetings starting Week 3 of Term 1 and therapy commencing after that. If you have indicated no meeting, Kellie will begin scheduling therapy as soon as your classroom timetable is emailed to her.
As part of Program Kaartdijin, Compass will replace Integris at all schools by 2026. Due to this we have decided to sign up to Compass early, the program is very easy to use for both staff and parents. Antoinette and Kirsty attended the initial training and have set up the school portal so that staff can practise in the sandpit period before we go live day one 2024.
To login use your E number and password
https://joondalupesc-wa.compass.education/
You can also access Compass via the mobile app, by searching ‘Compass School Manager’ in the App or Play Store and find Joondalup Education Support Centre.
To access the sandpit document click the link, you will only need to focus on page 2 and 3 which shows you how to mark the roll, enter an attendance note and check a student’s details.
From 2024, you will no longer use Integris, you will only use Compass. We are all learning, and more information will be provided.
I have attached the Joondalup Learning Community calendar (this is a network we belong to) so you can see all the events that are coming up next year. If you are interested in being part of any of them please let me know.
