We have Kapture Photography visiting the school on Friday 26 April to take some photos to be used for marketing purposes.
This is not school photos-these are booked for 14 and 16 May.
Staff will be onsite from 9.15am (9.30am start) until just before lunch.
I have sent an email to all junior, middle and specialist teachers with requests and approximate scheduling.
Thankyou to those who have replied with availability. Please ensure you respond to my email and notify of any issues you may have on the day as I will be sending the schedule to staff on Tuesday 23 April.
Thankyou
Kirsty H
Skye has sent out information regarding the ANZAC service. Students who attend this service need to be able to be seated and quiet for the entirety of the service. If you have students who are distracted easily or make lots of noise, they may be best to stay in class.
Please work in your collab teams to determine if there will be a group of students who will stay in classrooms. You can be together and have your own minute of silence and complete and ANZAC activity.
Information has gone out to everyone (including families) regarding cross country. All students have permission to go to Windemere Oval. Please come and see me if you feel your student will not be able to participate in the cross country event.
Jade and Michelle have created folders for each classroom with assessment information and gross motor activities, and IEP’s. There is a master file in the staff room which classrooms can request more resources which will be made up for you.
As a school we are making the transition to Teams rather than Shared Drive. Jan is working hard to work out what would be best kept on Compass, Teams or remain on our school system. We are hoping to streamline things so there is no need to save them in 2 places.
The advantage of TEAMS is that you can access it from anywhere – at home, even on your phone. Jan is working out how to give specific access, and lock folders so we don’t accidentally delete things or change templates.
This is an exciting move forward, to hopefully have everyone be able to access information they need.
I am not going to put a survey out for this, however if there is anything specific you would like to feedback please let me know. So far I am aware the siren sound was very quiet in lots of areas of the school, one of the staff room doors is unable to be locked from the inside, and staff are not going to necessarily know the sound of the siren.
Upcoming Professional Learning for staff
A number of staff will be attending some PL in the upcoming weeks. Tyla, Madi, Chloe and Louise will be attending a 2 day Trauma informed practice PL. (They are going across two different times). A number of our graduate teachers will be going to the graduate modules and Laurissa, Amanda and Sean will be attending the SEPLA conference in Melbourne in August.
Staff Development Day 31st May

Education Assistants will be at school in the staff room working with Shelda and Kane.
After lunch class teams can get together and go through class plans, and review your work so far, and give feedback etc.
