*Garden Club Thursdays Weeks 2-8 in Term 1
As most of you will now be aware, Nat will be absent from school for the next few weeks. Louise will be moving into her admin role next week Monday – Friday. Please contact Sean, Louise or Antoinette with any questions/queries that you would normally speak with Nat about. I’m sure you all join me in wishing Nat our sincere condolences and a safe journey.
Congratulations to Sandi who has received two grants this week. One is for the development of the school chicken coop and the other is to implement a bush tucker garden. Well done Sandi!
The Softfall on the rainbow playground was been repaired. However, some of the equipment in the Junior area has been taped off and is out of bounds. Please discourage students from entering this area.
Louise to finalising this by Tuesday. If you have any ideas about what you would like to see involved, please contact her ASAP.
2024 Educators Conference-WAATA
Please find attached the 2024 Conference program for all Education Assistants, AIEO's and Chaplains. This year's conference is on the weekend of 7th & 8th September 2024 at Pan Pacific hotel.
Our objective at WAATA is to enhance the professional expertise and status of dedicated educators who are also continually striving to ensure that ALL students can access the curriculum including those with diverse learning needs, along with enabling members to develop personally and professionally to contribute to the continual improvement of education more effectively.
We conduct an annual conference for our members and colleagues to enhance their professional and personal development, provide networking within schools and businesses who support education.
Our membership is statewide, and members work in Government, Catholic and Independent schools, daycares, chaplains & TAFE lecturers. We endeavor to cover all subject areas in our conference and usually have around 150 delegates in attendance, many are from country areas.
For all 2024 Financial members, they can register their spot from tomorrow 7/6/2024 and non members from 21/6/2024.
Any further questions, we can be contacted on conference@waata.asn.au or Maragaret on conf.secretary@waata.asn.au.
Please speak to admin if you would like to attend.
All excursions/incursions have now gone paperless, with consent and payment via Compass.
Please find attached template. This is in pdf format as I am unable to attach as Word. I have added a link to the Word document below, but please ensure you do not save the completed form into the master document folder.
Excursion leaders will need to complete this form, and give to Antoinette or Kirsty H to be completed and sent to parents on Compass.
This needs to be done along with all previous excursion planning documents and costings.
If parents request a hard copy permission form, please refer them to the office for assistance in setting up their Compass account.
