The count down for the last week is on!!
Next week I will email out details about next year and staff development days, accessing the school over the holidays etc.
Jack Tan-Gardener - on leave from weeks 8 to 10
Tyla has been working on new branding for our school and has come up with this! It looks absolutely fantastic and can be found on TEAMS – in a folder called Template forms and letters then in “Branding” all our letters, documents etc. will be put on these templates. Please use them for anything you need moving forward.
We are also beginning the process to update our website.
These look absolutely beautiful! The PS have decorated their doors too – many of their doors are the internal ones. Next Wednesday we will be coming around to look at all the doors, and give a prize to a junior, middle and upper class. We will come around first thing on Wednesday morning.
A HUGE thank you to everyone over this week. Adventure Week activities can be a really stressful time, and everyone did everything they could to ensure a fun time for the students they worked with. It didn’t matter if you were the excursion leader, tagging one student, organising student lunches, driving a bus or staying at school with other students. Every person worked super hard to make sure everything ran smoothly.
We have received some really nice feedback from relief staff and parents this week, about how organised everything was, and how supported students felt.
Next year we will have a think about how Adventure Week could best work. My initial thoughts are to scrap phase of learning groups, and instead think about activities/destinations students would like to go to. Perhaps we allocate classes based on the activity rather than the phase of learning group. This can be something we discuss further early next year.
Our wonderful Staff Association (aka) Sue Masterton have organised a celebration after school on the last day. It will be held in the staff room – make sure to come along, as one last get together for 2024.
I would like to recognise and thank Sue for the many years of driving and organising the staff association for the campus. It is a busy behind the scenes job that can go unnoticed. A huge thank you Sue.
I would also like to thank Colleen for keeping our drinks fridge always stocked up, and Kristy for being our caterer over so many events throughout the year!
On Monday we have a film crew coming to film and interview those in Rooms 23 and 16. It is because we are a QTS school. The videos will appear on the Department website some time next year.
