It has been a really busy, productive, and all together great term. Those that were new to the school… you are now part of the furniture. 

We have also finished swimming for the entire year!

We do have some staffing changes/updates in Term 2:

• Colleen will be on leave during Term 2. Rhianna Moule will be replacing Colleen during this time.
• Wendy Scanlan will be on leave during Term 2. Rachel Wescombe will be replacing Wendy during this time.
• Laura Martin will be in Room 26 on Mondays and Tuesdays during Term 2.
• Chelsea Forward will be returning next term on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Chelsea has been working in the area of sustainability this term. Next term she will be working more in classrooms, and will likely replace staff who are away on a Tuesday or Thursday.

Sensorium will be setting up their stage during the holidays in the undercover area. Below is the roster Louise emailed out earlier.

Teachers, this our collaborative meeting day. Can all teachers first meet in the staff room – Bri is going to gives us a short introduction to Brightpath, and the next step in how we will moderate student writing.

Below is the timetable for the Monday morning.

There are 10 EA’s which means I would spread them out to have 1-2 in your classroom for session 3 on the first Monday.

We will slowly work through these throughout the term. Thank you to those who have booked in. For that haven’t yet, Antoinette, Louise, Sean or I will make contact with you to organise a date and time.

If a student requires a wheelchair to move around during an excursion (Dana, Vera, Patrick, Isla) then they are required to use the wheelchair bus and remain in their wheelchair to get on/off the bus. The bus has the ability to have up to 3 students remain in wheelchairs and have their chairs “clipped in” on the bus, meaning they do not need to come out of it at all.

Please do not put yourself at risk of injury if a student is especially fatigued on non compliant on a day. Make sure you communicate any twinges or injuries to admin so we can make a plan to reduce the risk in the future.

Holiday Access and Cleaning

Due to Easter and ANZAC Day, Cleaners will only be working 3 days during the school holidays.

• Access:Staff cannot enter the school until after 1:00 pm on Monday 14 April, Tuesday 15 April and Wednesday 16 April while cleaning is underway.
• Security:Staff must independently lock/unlock doors and arm/disarm the security system as no assistance will be available during the holidays.
• Rubbish:Take all rubbish home with you or put it in the skip bin to avoid issues with vermin.

Flu vaccines will be available at school on Thursday 15 May 2025 from 7:30am.

The booking link will be open until Thursday 8 May. More session times will open up once that 30 minute block has been filled, so if you have a preferred time you would like, keep checking back to see when that session opens up.
