Remember to put your orders in by 12:00 Wednesday for the coffee van on Thursday.

WAESPAA will be hosting a showcase and networking event on Wednesday 3 September. It will be held at the Rendezvous from 5:00pm – 7:00pm. A number of schools (including Joondalup) will have a stall sharing practice. It is an opportunity to meet others and see what other schools are doing. If you are interested in going let me know. The school will happily pay for 15 people to attend.

The WAESPAA awards dinner is also back on!

It will be held on Thursday 4 September at the Ball Room at Rendezvous. It is back to being held in a big ball room with a 3 course dinner. The cost is $165, school will pay for $100 of it. Again let me know if you would like to attend.

This also means we can nominate others for awards too.

Teachers, reports are due on Friday 20 June.

Ideally, it is a time to get a jump on the next IEP’s for students while everything is fresh in your mind. IEP’s are due week 3 in term 3 (15^th August) so we as we want them finalised and out as quickly as we can for the second semester. Jan will be reading the reports.

In week 10 we will be offering PL presented by our staff. The sessions will run each afternoon from 1:30pm - 2:30pm with topics such as Talk for Writing, Behaviour supports, Curriculum and IEP scaffolding, PODD and Key Word Signs and how to use Lumio and Choose-It-Maker. The Ape Escape excursions will be taking place during the week also. A timetable will be sent out next week so you can discuss with your class, and the classes around, to decide on which sessions you would like to attend. There is not any relief, meaning classes will be down staff when attending PL. Classes can be adapted at this time to allow for less staff. Specialist teachers - you can collaborate with your classes to ensure you get to a session or 2 that you want to attend.
