When planning an excursion/incursion, please ensure you send a copy of your finalised paperwork to Antoinette, Kirsty H and Kellie.
Antoinette and Kirsty will review and publish your excursion for parent consent, so please ensure all information is accurate and you include any details parents will require. Ie: will the students be having lunch before they leave, are parents able to attend the event, or collect students early from the event.
Kellie will need to have excursion information to rearrange therapy sessions that overlap with your event.
The first week at Ape Escape has been wonderful! Everyone has had a really good time. The organisation, planning and communication has been great - from Natasha and Jade to everyone in classrooms planning for all of your student's needs.
Next week will be our last week of Ape Escape.
Assembly - Through the Decades
Please make sure you have merit awards up to the office by the end of Tuesday if you would like them given out on the Friday. The student councillors take these to practice reading.
It is also a free dress day on this day - come dressed in something "From the Decades". The below flyer has been sent out to families on Compass. Staff are encouraged to dress up as well.
Please print the flyer if you would like one for your window.
Please remember to fill up all available staff carpark space before parking on surrounding streets. The flow on effect of staff using the streets is that parents are then required to park on verges etc. This is causing some conflict between our families and the local residents and infringements are being issued.
A HUGE thank you to everyone for having reports written, and completed on time. The comments are thoughtful, and they read really well.
These will be sent home electronically on Tuesday - there is nothing else you will need to do
A reminder to give your orders into me by Wednesday 1:00pm. I will bring the last order list to contact on Tuesday.
These have been delicious! Thank you to those who have given up there time to bring something for others to share.
SEPLA Conference (Special Education Principals' and Leaders' Association NSW)
Will be on Monday 21 and Tuesday 22 July. Bri Wimbridge will be presenting at this National Conference which is amazing!! Emily and I will be joining Bri at the conference for the 2 days.
We are back at school on Monday 21 July which is a staff development day. Attached is the agenda. We will be in the staff room for the majority of the day, with a focus on student progress. For this reason, it would be great if classes could sit together, as you will have time to look at data, discuss your students and what the next semester will look like. Morning tea and lunch will be provided.
Please find bus roster attached for Term 3, weeks 1-5. In an effort to spread out duty in the morning, all classes have now been included in the roster. Room 26 are required daily for Zayd as usual.
After school Sustainability get togethers
Next term Sandi will be running some after school activities relating to sustainability for interested staff.
This has come about because staff have asked for some hints etc.
Activities will be on Thursday in Weeks 3, 6 and 9 in Sandi's room from 3.20pm-4pm.
Week 3 - Making Beeswax Wraps
Week 6 - Making Soap
Week 9 - Making Sweet Mustard Pickles
