Kaya, we are at a really exciting part of our school term. It is time when we begin writing reports, assessing students and reflect on all the learning and progress that has been made. The school is full of conversation, collaboration, and sharing stories about the progress students have made. Reports will be sent home electronically on Tuesday 10 December.
Colour Run
What a fabulous event Thursday’s Colour Run was! Our amazing P&C organised a wonderful event raising over $10,500. Congratulations to Ella and William for raising the most amount of money from Joondalup Schools! Both got fabulous prizes for raising so much. Our P&C raise funds throughout the year to improve the education opportunities for all our students. Did you know they donate to breakfast club, sponsor activities and even build different things around the school? We are really grateful for the effort they put in, and to all families for being engaged in events such as this one. Some wonderful prizes have been given to students today.
Class lists 2025
We have our final draft for classes in 2025. You can ask classroom teachers which class your child is in for the next year. Please be aware that while we don’t anticipate any changes, we cannot guarantee that something won't change between now and next year. We are receiving a new transportable classroom during the school holidays – which we will name Room 36. This new transportable will be next to Room 35 which is in the Junior playground.
Staff Development Day
On Friday staff engaged in our final staff development day for the 2024 school year. The day was about collaboration, team building and reflection. Throughout the year we have upskilled on our curriculum knowledge, completed first aid, and attended conferences.
Education Support North Network interschool carnival
Last week we joined nine other schools at Beldon Education Support Centre to compete in races, relays and join in group games and tabloid sports. There was even a silent disco! Our students represented our school proudly, and were absolutely fantastic supporters, team mates, and sports people. They joined in all the activities and were there to cheer on others.
Congratulations to Hamish and Jake who were named as our Sportspeople of the carnival for Joondalup.
Please enjoy some photos from the event further in the newsletter.
Leadership Excursion and Student Councillors
On Friday our Year 5 leaders will be going to Belridge Secondary College to join with other Year 5 leaders from schools in the Joondalup area.

WOW! So where did the term go? Five weeks to go and then it’s a wrap for 2024 school year!
Room 29 have had a busy last couple of terms. Swimming, multiple sports carnivals and last week's Colour Run..... it has been nonstop! We have also been practicing very hard for our junior assembly item – Over the Deep Blue Sea and we are looking forward to being pirates for the occasion. We met the newest members of our school community - 8 chickens and are learning how to care for them during Sustainability.
The new playground near the oval opened and we enjoy exploring it whenever we have the opportunity, and especially love climbing the cool blue wave and the roundabout that wheelchairs can go on. In class we have been talking about how we can keep ourselves safe in Protective Behaviours and during Talk for Writing have learnt “We’re Going on a Bear Hunt”. It was very funny when we changed the story to include a rabbit pirate who looked for treasure in the playground!
Here’s a quick round up of Semester Two in photos! Enjoy!!!
Looks like we have some future scientists in Room 3!
Last month Room 3 celebrated Halloween with some science experiments. The students made predictions, carefully recorded their data and conducted experiments to find out which combined liquid and solid would cause a bubbling eruption.
Kindy B – Enjoying a fantastic start to Term 4!
We have had a busy start to our last term in Kindy! We have been introduced to Talk 4 Writing with our first story ‘Rosie’s Walk’. We have enjoyed craft and sensory play around the story. Fun Fridays with the Junior classes is always exciting, with something different every week.
Kindy enjoyed dressing up for Halloween; getting our hands dirty, while finding scary Halloween figures in gooey green slime.
We are all looking forward to starting our Christmas activities and our first Adventure Week later in the term.
Beldon Sports Carnival
Please enjoy some photos from a wonderful day at Beldon ESC sports carnival.
Thursday, 14th November - Health and Wellness Day
Students will be participating in a range of activities throughout the day that promote mindfulness and wellbeing.
These activities include: Nature Walks, Drumming, Sensory Bottle and Stress Ball creation, Art, Movement and much more! Students need to wear their school uniforms for the day and will require a broad-brim hat.
I am excited to share the latest happenings from the visual arts room! It has been a productive and creative few weeks, filled with exploration of new art techniques and materials.
Our younger students have been diving into the world of texture through seahorse collages. They’ve been learning how to create interesting textures by stamping paper, then using those textures to form beautiful images of seahorses. The students are really enjoying this hands-on approach, and the results have been vibrant, unique, and full of creativity.
Our students in Years 5 and 6, have been sewing up a storm to create their very own Among Us plushies! This hands-on project has not only allowed the students to explore the art of sewing and stitching but has also given them the chance to bring a bit of their favorite characters to life. The attention to detail and the pride they take in their work is amazing.
A special mention goes to our Year 6 students, who are extra busy working on their self-portraits for graduation. These pieces are a beautiful reflection of their individual journeys and growth over the years. It’s been wonderful to watch their creativity and dedication shine as they capture their own likenesses in such a meaningful way. These self-portraits will be displayed at the graduation ceremony and are sure to be cherished memories for both the students and their families.
Stay tuned for more exciting updates from our visual arts room!
