GUIDELINES

Student Healthcare Guidelines

Our staff work collaboratively with parents, carers, therapists and other stakeholders to identify areas of support; and align strategies to support the health care needs of each student.

Behaviour Support Guidelines

We strive to provide our students with a safe, inclusive, supportive and culturally responsive learning environment. Our comprehensive and positive approach to behaviour support promotes engagement and learning and maximises the impact of classroom teaching.

Good Standing Guidelines

The aim of Good Standing is to encourage students to take greater responsibility for their choices.   This is reviewed on an individual needs basis considering the circumstances, activity and venue.

Attendance Guidelines

This guideline ensures a consistent approach to regular attendance in consultation with families.  Attendance plays a vital role in supporting students academic and holistic development.

SAER (Students at Educational Risk) Guidelines

These guidelines a framework for staff to ensure that students at risk of not achieving their potential are identified as early as possible and appropriate interventions are implemented to maximise student learning.

Mobile Phone Guidelines

We recognise that an increasing number of parents/carers who for safety, security and/or emergency purposes wish to provide their children with mobile phones. In line with Department of Education policy, this guideline details the conditions under which mobile phones are permitted at Joondalup Schools.

It is important to note that it is not a requirement at Joondalup Schools for students to have a mobile phone at school.

Reconciliation Plan

This year’s NAIDOC Week theme, 50 Years of Deadly, celebrates a powerful milestone in the history of NAIDOC. It reflects the pride, strength and resilience of First Nations people and it points to a bright future ahead.

50 Years of Deadly recognises the leadership and cultural authority that carried this movement forward and affirms that NAIDOC’s next chapter will be shaped by community leadership, long-term vision, and a stronger, more sustainable future.
