Early Years

EARLY INTERVENTION PROGRAM

The early years of schooling are the most important, that pave the way for your child to have a lifelong passion for learning.

At Joondalup Education Support Centre we offer a program for even our youngest learners. Our Early Intervention Program allows you and your child to attend one morning a week and have the opportunity to work with other families and specialist educators.  Our program is child responsive and based on individual children's interests, development and learning needs.

Our focus for early intervention is on communication, social skills, sensory learning and physical motor skills.  The session will include a regular routine that includes guided play, singing, story telling and outddor play.

If your child is pre-kindy age, 3 years old turning 4 during the pre kindy year, and has a disability or are experiencing a delay in development, this program would be a beneficial start to their school life.

KINDERGARTEN

If you child is ready to attend school we offer a dedicated Kindergarten class with specialist staff. We provide a full and rich curriculum which is developed in collaboration with you to capture the needs of your child.

The classroom in located in the Kindergarten block providing you child the opportunity for integration, friendships, collaboration and both formal and informal learning opportunities for them to learn with each other.

Should your child attend Kindergarten they will attend school for 5 full days per fortnight.

(3 days week 1/ 2 days week 2)

PRE-PRIMARY

If you child is joining us in pre-primary they will be attending school fulltime. As a specialised Education Support Centre we are able to offer them an individualised curriculum and rich experiences for everyone.

We recognise that your child learns at an individual rate.  We support the learning of every child by creating an Individual Education Plan in collaboration with parents and therapists.  This plan outlines which specific areas of the Australan Curriculum we focus on and what is important for your child.  Self management skills, social competencies and protective behaviours are also a focus at our school.
